Build Process
How we can help you
CETA Projects can be engaged at different stages of your building journey.
Concept design stage
Designs have yet to begin or have just commenced and you are ready to start shaping the brief for your home.
DA / CDC stage
Your Development Application or Complying Development Certificate has been submitted to or approved by Council or a Private Certifier.
Construction Certificate stage
Your DA has been approved and a Construction Certificate is to be submitted so you can move toward starting on site.
Ready for construction
Your plans are fully documented and you are looking for a builder you can trust to deliver the home you have been planning.
Whichever of these stages you are at, get in touch with us and we can guide you through your next steps.
The CETA custom process
Every project follows a clear, five stage journey so you always know what is happening and what comes next. Tap or click each stage below to learn more.
01 Stage 1: Let’s get to know each other
Get in touch with us so we can set up a time to discuss your plans and project brief. At this meeting we are keen to see your ideas, inspirations and gain a clear understanding of the brief for your project.
We will tell you a bit about ourselves and how we work, what to expect and what we can do for you. Following this, we will issue you with a detailed proposal for our design engagement process.
02 Stage 2: Concept design
Following acceptance of our design engagement proposal, we will organise the relevant surveys and documents from your Local Council to prepare your concept design based on our initial conversations.
As part of this process, we will review each concept design in 3D with our partner architect in the studio, through constructive design workshops where we collaborate and make changes to suit you.
03 Stage 3: Tender price
With the agreed concept design in place, we then continue to work closely with you through our design engagement process to confirm the exterior finishes, level of interior design inclusions and all the small details. We do this by continuing with our design workshops to review mood boards, physical samples of finishes and 3D renders.
With this, CETA Projects will prepare a detailed, itemised lump sum tender outlining the full scope, specifications and cost of your build.
Importantly, this pricing is finalised before the design is lodged for council approval, so you have a clear and realistic understanding of the build cost upfront. We take the time to review the tender with you in detail, ensuring everything is clearly understood and aligned with your expectations.
Once the design and pricing are agreed, the project progresses into the approvals phase with certainty, allowing construction to begin promptly following approval.
04 Stage 4: Construction
Once the approvals have been issued and any relevant changes made, we will issue you with a building contract to commence the construction of your project with CETA Projects.
As your project commences, you are kept informed of progress and upcoming milestones through direct communication and attendance at site meetings where our collaboration continues.
05 Stage 5: Completion and handover
The handover stage is not an afterthought, it is a key part of how we deliver a finished home. We make sure you are fully comfortable with how everything works, from day to day operation through to ongoing care.
You will receive a detailed handover manual, and we will walk you through your new home with our key service trades where we run through any technical aspects of their installations, so you know exactly how each system is intended to be used.
We include a post completion maintenance period, as we know some items may not become visible until after everything is settled. During this time, any items identified will be reviewed and rectified as required.
We are proud to hand over homes that reflect the level of care, detail and quality we expect of our own work and that our clients are genuinely proud to move into.
